Inherent Forces Cube and Packaging
After doing research on some skin care brands I wanted to design my own. First I worked on a 3D cube where the composition focused on using line, point, and shape to create a final and cohesive design. Each side had to work with the other, but have its own visual integrity. After that, I went into my skincare packaging design.
Approach
Initial iterations revealed that the use of circles was disrupting visual harmony. Because of this I chose to go in a different direction and started using angles and following a grid for a better design.
Approach
By omitting most of the circular elements you could now start to see a more dynamic design. There were still unity issues and it still felt like the design was not cohesive, so in my next iteration, I strayed completely away from an organic look and went for a more geometric feel.
Final Design
For the final design, I chose to focus on contrast, continuation, and figure and ground use to create a unified final piece. Every side on this cube worked well with each other and used design elements to create that harmony.

Graphic Application
After my final iteration, I chose to take my process another step further. My next task was to design the packaging of a skincare brand with a few adjustments to my previous design.
